Who Is Colby Cobb?

Creative Journey

My upbringing involved frequent relocations, attending 11 different schools across Texas before moving to Alabama during my freshman year of high school. This lifestyle fostered adaptability and resilience, qualities that have been instrumental in my personal and professional development. I graduated with Honors from Cherokee County High School in Centre, Alabama, in 2021. While in attendance at Cherokee County High School, I was a member of the Leo Club, Beta Club, Teen Advisory Group, Weiss Lake Improvement Association, Theatre Centre, CCT Elite, CCHS Marching Band, CCHS Baseball, and the recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizenship Award. After graduating in 2021, I took a gap semester to compete on American Idol. I swiftly began Baylor University in January of 2022.

My passion for creativity ignited early in life. At age 10, I began learning the viola, which laid the foundation for my musical pursuits. Over time, I expanded my repertoire to include the saxophone and guitar. My love for performance extended beyond music, leading me to participate in competitive theatre. These experiences culminated in national exposure when I competed on ABC’s American Idol (Season 20) and NBC’s The Voice (Season 24), showcasing my dedication to artistic expression.

Early Education

Academic and Professional Development

In the summer of 2024, I embarked on a internship with Lucky Money Entertainment, a Nashville-based company dedicated to amplifying artists' voices . From June to August, I contributed on-site, and from August to December, I continued my role remotely while pursuing my studies at Baylor University.

At Baylor, I am an active member of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s official honor society, which recognizes outstanding academic achievement in communication studies. Additionally, I hold honorary membership in Tau Kappa Epsilon.
